Mark was a very giving and inspirational man. When I was a student at Cal Poly, Mark did more than volunteer time and money. He gave us an example of a quality person who gained successes through caring for people and working hard.

When Mark flew me out to Pack Expo LV to work as a student, we had a few opportunities to speak. During these shows, he was away from home for many days/weeks. At this time Rita and Sarah were back in NJ. I asked Mark when he started missing his family. He said ,"I start missing my family as soon as I sit down in the plane to take off and leave town."

At that point I really had a great window to see into what type of man Mark was.

I appreciate his efforts and intentions in life. I appreciate the opportunity to go to school and become friends with his son Jake. I offer my prayers and support to Mark and to his great family.
