Mr. Mark Garvey gave so much and asked for so little in return. His dynamic personality and profound desire to share with others will not be forgotten. I learnt today of Mark Garvey's passing only one week after having a job interview where I shared the knowledge and theories that Mark and his colleagues had instilled in me.

There is a lot of education that can be attained at the college level and not discounting the exceptional educational and hands on experience that was attained at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in the Packaging Minor, there are persons that are not there as instructors but also as mentors, people who are passionate about sharing there experience and taking the time and effort to share that with our future generations. Mark took the time and made an exceptional difference. Not only has he impacted the Packaging industry but people as a whole.

Mark will always be with me because I will continually share his insight. Mark will allways be with us all as he has made an exceptional contribution to society not only through his sharing his experience and educating others but through being that exceptional person who made a difference in so many of our lives.
Mark will be very missed but not forgotten, we have lost a mentor and a friend but have not lost what he gave us.
